Vic: Bendigo man appears on murder charge

A Bendigo man has been charged with the murder of a 28-year-old woman whose body was
found in bushland at Maiden Gully near the central Victorian city yesterday.

PHILLIP GENE MCDOUGALL has appeared in Bendigo Magistrates court today charged with
the murder of HELEN PEARSON at Maiden Gully on December 12.

MCDOUGALL, who was arrested yesterday, was remanded in custody until March next year.

He did not apply for bail and will face Bendigo Magistrates Court again on March 1, 2000.
