Fed: Hanson's honour nomination not serious - council
The National Australia Day Council says jailed politician PAULINE HANSON'S nominationas Australian of the Year probably isn't serious.
The council has received more than 100 nominations for HANSON since her website suggestedthe honour after her conviction for electoral fraud.
The council's spokesman WARREN PEARSON says only one nomination is needed.
Mr PEARSON told ABC radio he doesn't think people are necessarily serious about HANSONbecoming Australian of the Year.
He says people are probably using the nominations as part of a lobbying process for HANSON.
