Baker guns down Sussex League leaders.

A MAGNIFICENT four-goal salvo from Peter Baker handed Sidley United arguably the result of the Sussex Division One season on Saturday.

The prolific marksman took his tally for the campaign to 27 in all competitions as Sidley crushed league leaders Ringmer 4-0 in appalling conditions.

"I said before the game I fancied us," commented joint manager Andy Laskey. "When they got there you could see they didn't fancy it and they were asking the referee to look at the pitch. We were buzzing and they were going through the motions. They were trying to get the game off and that inspired us.
