Five hours of terror described.

Sep. 20--When he heard the phone ring at about 4 p.m. on the day before Easter Sunday, the young doctor from Pittsburgh said, he could immediately tell something was terribly wrong.

His wife, 33, whom he had known since high school, was calling from a home in an east-side Cleveland neighborhood, where she and their 16-month-old daughter had just been dropped off by a man who had abducted them at knife point hours earlier in a grocery store parking lot in Pittsburgh.

"I've never heard her voice like that ever," the doctor testified Wednesday. "She was terrified."
